AdTech company Infillion has acquired global MR company Phonic, which helps build voice and video surveys, and records and analyzes consumer interaction with technology and web sites. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Set up in 2020 by David Ferris and Mitchell Catoen, Phonic offers a platform through which users can record spoken respondent feedback; collect feedback through respondent videos; and record screens to watch users interact with online experiences. The latter encourages them to speak aloud as they test a new feature, demonstrate a bug, or complete an online action.
Commenting on the deal, Rob Emrich (pictured), Infillion's founder and Executive Chair said: 'Customer insights are essential for brands that want to understand and engage key audiences. Phonic's research platform, designed to capture unstructured data including voice and video, expands Infillion's measurement solutions with deeper, more real human sentiment and data'.
