Video-based insight provider UserTesting and user experience (UX) specialist UserZoom have merged under the former's brand name. The merger follows the separate acquisitions of the two companies by private equity firm Thoma Bravo.
The deal brings together research capabilities, consultative services, a proprietary QX Score benchmarking methodology, and experience insights hub from UserZoom; with UserTesting's enterprise-scale technology, proprietary contributor network, and AI and ML driven offer providing experience insights for UX research, design, product and marketing professionals. During the next year, UserTesting will bring together the technologies onto a single platform, while also continuing to invest in product innovation, including new features, add-ons and integrations.
The merged business will be led by UserTesting CEO Andy MacMillan (pictured) and the combined exec team. MacMillan comments: 'By bringing together the two leaders in the UX research and design space, we will be able to innovate faster, and bring more value to our customers - helping everyone in an organization better understand what it's like to be a customer. Our customers will immediately benefit from the enhanced strengths and efficiencies that integrating these two platforms will provide, and we look forward to continuing to help them transform the way they connect with their customers and build digital products and experiences'.
