Sky Group's Chief Business Officer Patrick Béhar is joining Kantar Media in September as Global Chief Executive. He will take over from Chris Allen, who has led the exec team since 2022 and will now focus exclusively on his role as Global CFO.
Béhar joins with more than 25 years of international media industry experience. For the past four years he has led media company and pay-TV broadcaster Sky's advertising business and partnership relationships across the UK and Europe. Before this he held senior roles at management consultancies McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and Booz & Company in France.
Béhar will take over from Allen, who has held the position since shortly after interim Kantar Media Global CEO Serge Lupas left in late 2021. Lupas had replaced long-time Kantar Media Global CEO Andy Brown, who left the business less than a year after WPP agreed to sell 60% of Kantar to private equity firm Bain Capital.
In his new role, Béhar will work closely with the Board, group Chairman Adam Crozier, and Chris Jansen, CEO of parent company Kantar Group. Crozier comments: 'Patrick brings a unique combination of first-hand client experience in equipping media companies to grow in a cross-media age and deep global advertising expertise. His appointment will strengthen the Kantar Media leadership team. As we continue to drive our innovation agenda forward, I am confident he will fulfil the ambition we have for the business to cement its position, unlocking insight opportunities for our clients'.
