Digital transformation consulting company Publicis Sapient has acquired a full stake in research and development joint venture Publicis Sapient AI Labs (PS AI Labs), whose data scientists and AI specialists are experienced in tackling complex business challenges with predictive analytics.
London and Boston-based PS AI Labs was formed in 2020 in a partnership between Publicis Sapient, data science consultancy Elder Research, and technology venture company Tquila. The business combines Publicis Sapient's more than 30 years of global delivery of its SPEED (Strategy, Product, Experience, Engineering and Data & AI) capabilities with Elder Research's 28 years of expertise in data science, AI and machine learning, and Tquila's ability to scale new technology services practices worldwide.
With the takeover, Publicis Sapient will develop solutions for a wide range of applications, such as generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision and autonomous systems. Specifically, Publicis Sapient will provide its clients with services to transform their businesses, including workshops and hackathons to develop a data and AI vision; prototypes and proof of value use case development; training programs spanning engineering in large language model development; and collaborations with existing partners to fine tune large language foundation models.
Nigel Vaz (pictured), CEO of Publicis Sapient, comments: 'The acquisition of Publicis Sapient AI Labs will accelerate our generative AI offerings, playing a critical role in enabling our clients to apply data and AI solutions to solve complex business problems and build data-driven organizations at scale.'
