Ireland-based publisher and RED C Research owner The Business Post Group has acquired research-based consultancy services provider Relish Research, for an undisclosed sum.
Relish Research was founded in 2011 by Monique Drummond (pictured), but has a 30-year heritage dating from when her first company Drummond Research was launched in 1990. The company helps deliver acquisition strategies for subscription, contract and membership business models, driven by data and insight. Services are based around four key drivers: audience understanding; developing and refining clients' services and products; delivering enhanced brand experiences; and communication development and optimisation, for clients across the retail, utilities, gaming and entertainment sectors.
Following the takeover, Relish Research will continue to operate as a standalone brand, with the existing management team and staff retained. Relish Research will be a sister company to the RED C brands, which operate in Ireland, the UK and worldwide, and will be part of The Business Post Group. The latter company says that the deal strengthens its presence in the UK MR sector, and further enhances its Data and Insights offer, which is led by RED C Research CEO Richard Colwell.
Richard Barton, Joint MD of RED C Research UK, says he and his colleagues are looking forward to working with Drummond, Relish MD Simon Thompson, and the firm's team, to support the growth of the group's UK and international footprint. Drummond adds: 'While retaining our independence, there are clear synergies in developing a close working relationship with the skilled consultant team at RED C. Not only will we be strengthening the range of services we currently offer our clients, but we'll be collaborating on the development of new insight products to further strengthen our combined position in the market'.
