YouGov has paid an undisclosed sum for US-based survey data management solution KnowledgeHound.
Chicago-based KnowledgeHound was co-founded ten years ago by former Procter & Gamble Consumer Insights Manager Kristi Zuhlke and technologist Andrew Soep, and offers an SaaS-based search-driven analytics platform integrating structured data from disparate systems. Clients span the FMCG, pharmaceutical, technology, insurance and media sectors.
YouGov says the move will enhance its Crunch survey analytics platform, adding analysis and data viz functionality to offer deep dives into complex survey data, and productization of reports for brands.
YouGov CFO Alex McIntosh comments: 'YouGov's acquisition of KnowledgeHound represents a significant shift in what the industry should expect from data analytics platforms. By adding KnowledgeHound... to YouGov Crunch - the ultimate tool for granular data analysis - we will make it easier than ever before to get fast, actionable, reliable insights all in one place'.
KnowledgeHound CEO Laura Baker says, 'I am thrilled for this next stage of KnowledgeHound's journey, as the combined capabilities and teams from KnowledgeHound and YouGov Crunch enables us to, together, truly deliver the cutting edge, scalable solution the market actually needs'.
