Senior Hire and Role Extension for Ipsos India

Ipsos India has expanded the role of Archana Gupta, adding responsibility for Shopper Research and for developing the firm's base of young talent; and has hired former NIQ exec Malavika Mani as Executive Director, servicing large accounts in the west zone.

Gupta (pictured above) is Executive Director and Country Service Line Leader for Market Strategy & Understanding (MSU), which Ipsos says is 'one of the most specialized verticals' - this places a strong emphasis on in-depth training, and Gupta will work with other vertical heads to leverage the MSU opportunity with clients.

Mani (pictured below) will work for clients conducting CPG, FMCG, Shopper and Retail research and will report to Vivek Gupta, MD (Research). At NIQ / Nielsen IQ she spent the last three years as Director, Customer Intelligence, covering the same sectors, having worked for the firm since 2018. Prior to this she spent eight years at GfK in Bangalore and Mumbai, rising from Research Associate to Group Manager

Mani will be involved in strengthening relationships with some of our key clients in the west zone; her rich experience straddling FMCG, telecom, healthcare/ pharma and retail, coupled with her strategic leadership roles, makes her a valuable asset to Ipsos India. Her remit will be two-pronged - to reinforce client relationships and achieve ambitious growth targets with an eye on 2025'. The global group will be 50 next year.

In the last two months Ipsos India has hired former Nielsen exec Unni Hariharan as Executive Director leading its Tech and Ecommerce business, and former Abbott Healthcare researcher Shrutika More as Country Service Line Leader for the Creative Excellence vertical.
