US-based healthcare sector insights firm Apollo Intelligence has acquired GlocalMind, a tech-driven MR services and panel company operating in the same sector.
Apollo was launched in 2019 with the acquisition of real-time automated life sciences insights firm InCrowd, and quickly followed up by buying first party healthcare data collection and custom survey solutions provider Survey Healthcare Global.
GlocalMind was founded in 2010 and has teams in the US, Europe and India, providing access to 1.5 million healthcare professionals (HCPs) in more than 50 countries in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America, across more than 80 physician specialties - as well as key opinion leaders (KOLs), and payers, nurses, dentists, veterinarians, ophthalmologists, opticians and pharmacists. These are sourced through directed research efforts using double opt-in, permission-based techniques, and the company offers comprehensive programming, reporting and near round-the-clock project management support, supported by an India-based research operations team. Apollo says the buy brings it real-time panel sourcing network and recruiting capabilities, expanding its panel access to global HCPs and KOLs for rapid, high quality, multi-country healthcare research.
GlocalMind's founder Sandeep Sankhla and Principal Vrinda Deval will continue in their roles following the buy, and will join the Apollo leadership team. The GlocalMind brand will be retained 'for the foreseeable future', and Apollo says its India research operations team will provide 'an important component' of the parent company's global operations, affording more access and value-added services for all its clients.
Daniel S. Fitzgerald, CEO and President of Apollo comments: 'GlocalMind is a respected brand in our space and aligns with our commitment to tech-enabled innovation. As part of the Apollo family, GlocalMind supports our 'follow-the-sun' vision, optimizing time and efficiency for our clients around the globe'. GlocalMind's Sankhla (pictured) says the two firms 'were each first-movers' in their respective domains, adding: 'our visions are aligned toward transforming the life science market research process'.
With more than 300 employees, Apollo is a portfolio company of Frazier Healthcare Partners and is online at www.apollointelligence.net .
