Technology and services analyst HfS Research is opening a new office in Boston, MA, in part to allow the hosting of more client workshops and events. The firm has also appointed Jordan Detmers as a Client Partner, and Stephen Getty as Practice Leader for IT Services.
HfS works for major enterprises, tech firms and service providers, helping them face business challenges, innovate and 'make bold moves'. The firm prides itself on its analysts' 'deep, real-world experience in the subjects they cover', including personal engagement with industry leaders; and their up-to-the-minute understanding of key industry sectors, market trends and competitive pressures.
The new office will open on Monday, and HfS says it 'represents a major step forward in our journey of growth and our commitment to shaping the future of work'.
Detmers (pictured above) has a background in ITSM operations and strategy, having begun his career as an analyst at Info-Tech Research Group before transitioning into sales - he then joined a Silicon Valley-based AI startup, gaining further experience in selling cutting-edge software and services. He holds a BSc in Biology and an MES in Sustainability from Western University. In his new role, he will lead the firm's outbound sales efforts.
Getty (pictured below) has worked at firms including Deloitte, Cognizant and IBM, in roles focused on driving technology transformation and strategic leadership. In his new position he will lead HfS' IT Services practice, guiding the research agenda, mentoring analysts and driving the delivery of impactful insights to clients. He will also help the expansion of the firm's OneCouncil group, and support new sales opportunities.
