Truth Consulting Hires Head for New 'Futures' Offering

September 30 2024

UK firm Truth Consulting has launched a new offering called Truth Futures, which brings together tools, frameworks and partnerships to spot cultural change and help clients develop future proof strategy. Semiotics specialist Bridget Dalton, PhD has been hired to lead the new offer.

The Truth Futures teamTruth is the insights and strategy consultancy division of German-based Instinctif Partners, and is led by Dr Matilda Andersson. The new Truth Futures offering taps semiotics and social listening, as well as a new partnership with the Ashoka Network, a global organisation of more than 4,000 'social entrepreneurs', online at www.ashoka.org/en-us .

Truth Futures will also draw on DISRUPTIONS, a 'bank' of more than twenty 'deep, tectonic shifts' changing the way we live everyday, identified and defined through academic research by Dr Mark Thorpe. It will also be fuelled by Truth Intelligence, a new service launched in june this year combining inputs from Truth's research and analytics capabilities and the strategic communications expertise of parent company Instinctif; and by Semiotics, decoding culture to help brands 'stay true to their meaning and remain relevant and resonant in culture'.

Dalton brings more than ten years' experience in cultural and commercial insight and strategy, and worked at specialist semiotics agencies Canopy and SignSalad before joining Crowd DNA in a cultural trends role. Most recently she developed, used and sold AI powered insights and strategy tools at Discover.ai. Expressing her excitement at the 'vast potential' for clients of the Ashoka partnership, Dalton comments: 'Leading edge networks are vital for cultural insight. But with the Ashoka partnership, we're grounding this in socially entrepreneurial spirit-facilitating opportunities for brands to learn from those at the vanguard of business for good. It's compelling and deeply credible, I cannot wait to get changemakers and clients together'.

Dalton (sitting, second from left) is joined in the Truth Futures team by Duart Rankin (left), Carlota Rosa-Delgado (second from right) and Taiye Akin-Akinyosoye (right).
