San Francisco-based digital analytics platform Amplitude has announced the acquisition of Command AI, which provides guided and personalized user journeys through sites and software.
San Francisco-based Amplitude provides product, data and marketing teams with a holistic view of the customer journey, including product usage analysis / understanding and other customer behavior data. This includes a product experiment platform called Amplitude Experiment, which simplifies A/B testing and allows clients to run concurrent experiments without exposing users to more than one testing scenario at a time.
Amplitude says the buy follows requests from customers for its platform to 'go further' - having gained insights about their users' behavior, they want help in encouraging / nudging those users in a particular direction: including help with onboarding, sharing of announcements, and gathering user feedback in real time. Command AI's AI-powered user assistance meets these needs, providing tours and suggestions tailored to individuals and their current moods using contextual triggers: for example Amplitude says that 'if someone is rage-clicking, it's probably not the right time to promote a special offer'.
Amplitude says its own offer 'makes everything Command AI does more powerful':
