Wraps Off for Canvs AI Assistant Asa

October 15 2024

In New York, unstructured feedback analysis platform Canvs AI has unveiled an AI research assistant called Asa, providing researchers with a natural language interface for the analysis of quant and qual data, including summarization, graphs and charts.

Jared FeldmanThe firm has been adding AI features to its software for at least seven years, and in the spring of last year launched a solution called AI Story Assist, offering instant transformation of open-ended text from surveys, social media and online reviews into a natural language summary - a number of upgrades and extensions have already followed.

Canvs says Asa is the result of combining ten years of data science, patented emotion measurement, automatic topic and thematic summarization, and a detailed understanding of unique research use cases by industry with a natural language interface. The assistant has more than 25 skills across four categories: investigate, compare, visualize and consult. Features include making suggestions of areas for further exploration, providing in-depth comparisons for both qual and quant data, dynamically creating and refining data visualizations, providing strategic recommendations and helping 'craft compelling narratives'.

'Asa represents a step function advancement for AI research tools' says Founder and CEO Jared Feldman (pictured). 'Researchers should think of Asa as their trusted AI sidekick that accelerates and accentuates their analysis across both qualitative and quantitative data. This release is designed to supercharge researchers' productivity, empowering them to dig deeper into their data, faster than ever before'.

A group of 67 early-access users have been trialling Asa over the last month, and the software is now available for all Canvs AI customers.
