London-based kids and family insight agency Beano Brain has strengthened its service to US clients with the appointment of Audrey Birner as Insights Director, based in New York.

Beano Brain is a division of Beano Studios, which describes itself as a 'rebellious multi-media publishing and creative entertainment business powered by data and insight'. In addition to the Beano, the world's longest-running weekly kids comic and annual, the firm produces content for TV and for web site Beano.com, and for theatrical and live experiences, and licensed products. Beano Brain was established in the UK in 2020 with the launch of a kids and youth omnibus service, and now boasts a global client base, serviced from its headquarters in London and Dundee. Its research studies include Raising Gen Alpha, The New Rebellion and an annual study of the Coolest Brands for kids and teens.
Birner, a Cambridge graduate and a Fulbright scholar, brings more than ten years' experience in global qual and quant research focused on Gen Alpha and younger Gen Z. Recently she served as a Director at Firefish's kids and family consultancy The Pineapple Lounge, and before this she was a Senior Strategist during a two-year stay at youth specialist Ypulse. Her expertise in youth research include work in the play, tech, entertainment and beauty sectors, and she has overseen global kids & youth insight projects on four continents, including works in London, Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Mexico City. In her new role she will make use of the company's Gen Alpha expertise and proprietary direct-to-kids insight tools to help brands and businesses understand and engage young people and their families.
