Zappi President Barry Departs after Ten Years

Company President Ryan Barry has left automated research pioneer Zappi after more than ten years, for an as-yet unnamed new venture.

Barry (pictured) worked at Lightspeed Research / GMI for six years as a Project manager, Account Manager and latterly Sales Director before leaving in 2014 to become the first US employee of what was then called ZappiStore as its SVP of Sales and Marketing, North America, working in Boston. He was promoted soon after to Chief Revenue Officer, and appointed to chair a new leadership team when the company restructured in 2020. He was then appointed President in 2021.

In a LinkedIn post Barry noted: 'I am leaving with such pride in what we've built and also so much confidence in what the company will continue to do as the insights industry transforms again with Zappi leading the way under Aaron [Ketchley]'s leadership'.

Other than saying that he is moving to 'a new industry and a new opportunity', he has as yet given little clue to his next move.

The company, which dropped the 'Store' from the end of its name in 2018, is online at www.zappi.io/web .
