In London, AI-based insights company Behavox has announced the acquisition of Mosaic Smart Data, whose technology helps financial institutions to extract actionable intelligence from their transaction data. Terms were not disclosed.Behavox builds AI-powered archiving, compliance and security solutions for businesses' structured and unstructured text and voice comms data, promising security and enhanced productivity; and also monitors regulatory, conduct and insider threat risks. Its existing solutions are electronic communication surveillance system Quantum; regulatory archiving solution Intelligent Archive; and Pathfinder, an AI-powered knowledge and policy management system. The firm was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in London, with offices in cities including New York City, Montreal, Seattle, Singapore and Tokyo.
The deal with Mosaic, whose decision-support software is used by Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities markets (FICC) markets worldwide, was signed in December. Mosaic aggregates all clients' transaction data, as well as data from external sources, normalizes it and applies advanced AI models to extract actionable insights. Behavox says it will used the acquired expertise and technology to enhance its new Trade Surveillance offering, which is currently in customer testing pending release in the second half of this year.
Behavox CEO Erkin Adylov (pictured) comments: 'We are thrilled to welcome the Mosaic Smart Data team to Behavox and excited about the enhanced capabilities our integrated offering will deliver to customers. This acquisition enables us to integrate commercial insights from Behavox, such as Indications of Interest (IOIs) and Request for Quotes (RFQs), into Mosaic Smart Data - across both text and voice'. Matthew Hodgson, CEO of Mosaic Smart Data, adds: 'Customers increasingly seek AI-driven insights to analyze pre-trade journeys and extract intelligence from communication data to help them make more money. Mosaic Smart Data will be the first company to offer FICC desks a comprehensive view of market activity, integrating both transaction and communication data'.
