New Similarweb Solution Pools Web and Mobile App Data

March 13 2025

Tel Aviv-based market intelligence company Similarweb has launched App Intelligence, a solution bringing together a range of web and mobile app data to give client firms a holistic view of digital performance and user engagement.

Or OfferSimilarweb's proprietary software helps clients understand online behavior, including the behavior of visitors to sites similar to their own. Last year it acquired Chilean ad intelligence specialist Admetricks and Swiss app intelligence provider 42matters - the latter buy and subsequent integration has fed into the development of App Intelligence, enhancing Similarweb's ability to deliver comprehensive insights into app performance, user engagement and technology stacks.

The firm says key benefits of the new solution include comprehensive coverage - the firm now tracks more than 4 million iOS and Android apps in 58 countries; rich data sources and machine learning giving access to rankings, downloads, app usage and engagement, retention, audience demographics, audience interests, ratings and reviews; and 'outstanding' app technographics - providing up-to-date data on the technologies powering 99% of apps in the top charts, from payment providers to game development tools. By bringing together web and app analytics in one 'intuitive' platform, the tool promises clients 'a complete view of their digital market landscape'.

Founder and CEO Or Offer (pictured) comments: 'As companies expand their digital presence - whether through mobile apps alone or a combination of apps and websites - the demand for fresh, accurate, and easy-to-understand digital intelligence is more crucial than ever. Similarweb offers a 360-degree market view into your competitors' digital footprint, which gives you a leg up. The combined power of seeing how businesses are performing across the app and web continuum makes our data offering unique and extremely valuable to large and small brands alike'.
