In San Francisco, Business Intelligence software company Omni has announced the raising of $69m in Series B funding, to continue building its single-source data platform and dashboards. The company, led as CEO by former Google Search quality head Colin Zima (pictured), says its BI platform is the only one that 'combines the consistency of a shared data model with the speed and freedom of SQL'. Users can define, analyse and visualize key metrics, and can build customer-facing data products. Omni says it plans to double its headcount this year - it currently employs around 85 people.
The round was led by ICONIQ Growth with participation from existing investors Theory Ventures, First Round Capital, Redpoint Ventures, GV and Snowflake Ventures, and values the three-year-old company at $650m.
