March 19 2025

London-based ad tech and audience intelligence company MiQ has appointed Chris Freel as its first Chief Revenue Officer, commencing in June.

Chris FreelIn the last eighteen months MiQ has acquired French media governance martech company Grasp, rolled out its cross-media TV Intelligence platform in the UK, US, Canada and Australia, launched in Ireland and announced appointments and promotions to expand its US business. In September it brought in former Oracle and Spotify exec Zuzanna Gierlinska in the new role of UK Chief Commercial Officer, and a month later it partnered with healthcare analytics company PurpleLab to help clients measure the impact of digital ad campaigns on patient visits.

Freel leaves Ooh Media after less than a year as its Group Sales Director, and brings two decades of commercial media experience including six as CEO at social impact organisation Unltd, and half a dozen at Fairfax Media. In his new role he will drive revenue growth and maximise profitability for the company, and oversee its trade marketing efforts in the region.

He reports to MiQ's Managing Director for ANZ Fiona Roberts, who comments: 'Having previously worked with Chris at both Fairfax and Pandora, I know the impact he has on the people around him, and I couldn't think of anyone I'd rather partner with on growing the ANZ business for the future'.
