In San Francisco, media analytics tech company Samba TV has appointed Zac Pinkham as SVP of International, overseeing its EMEA and APAC business. He joined the company with the acquisition of Semasio in November.Samba provides advertisers and media companies with a unified, end-to-end view of the consumer journey, using proprietary first-party data from tens of millions of opted-in televisions, across more than 20 TV brands sold in over 100 countries. With the acquisition of contextual targeting and audience data solutions specialist Semasio, the firm strengthened its hand in more than fifty markets outside the US - it now boasts strong representation across Europe, MENA, APAC and the Americas.
Pinkham was Semasio's GM and took over as company leader with the departure of former CEO Jeff Ragovin when the sale took place. He brings extensive experience in digital advertising and media, including leadership of international expansion strategies for major technology and advertising firms. His new role will include the integration of Semasio's capabilities into Samba TV's broader AI-powered suite of solutions, further enhancing advertisers' ability to leverage privacy-safe approaches to reach audiences with contextual relevance across digital, mobile and CTV platforms.
Samba TV co-founder and CEO Ashwin Navin comments: 'As Samba TV accelerates its global expansion and deepens its AI-powered targeting capabilities, Zac's experience will be instrumental in reinforcing our commitment to equipping advertisers and media companies with the most comprehensive, privacy-first measurement solutions available'.
