Real-time, contextual insights firm Liminal has raised $8.5m in a Series A round of funding, with which to continuing building new products and delivery infrastructure and grow its advisory, research and support capabilities.Based in New York, the firm provides predictive insights and competitive intelligence using data sources including market signals, research, expert transcripts and news, and focuses on areas it describes as 'highly regulated and rapidly shifting... where the cost of bad information is highest.' This includes cybersecurity, financial crime, fraud prevention, and trust and safety. Liminal's combination of human expertise and proprietary data models feeds into users' existing software platforms such as Slack, Salesforce, product roadmaps, sales playbooks and dashboards.
The Series A was led by Noro-Moseley Partners, with participation from early strategic investors and customers. Money will be used to expand its core platform, Link - including Sales Hub, a tool launched last month providing real-time, contextual market and competitive intelligence for go-to-market teams.
The firm is led by CEO Travis Jarae (pictured) and is online at www.liminal.co .
