In the US, commercial data giant Dun & Bradstreet is to acquire artificial intelligence-powered B2B customer data platform (CDP) Lattice Engines. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.San Mateo, CA-based Lattice Engines has developed an SaaS-based platform which enables B2B marketers to centralize all their first and third party buyer data in a single place, and then use AI to segment and create audiences for campaigns. According to Dun & Bradstreet, this will add a 'best-in-class CDP' to the global commercial data in its own Data Cloud, and its portfolio of complementary sales and marketing solutions. The combination will give B2B marketers a single platform source of sales and marketing information, and allow them to activate audiences through personalized, omni-channel campaigns.
Michael Bird (pictured), Dun & Bradstreet's EVP and General Manager of Sales & Marketing Solutions, says the deal follows a long-standing partnership between the two firms, and comments: 'The result will be a 360-degree customer view that combines data and precision AI to easily segment audiences and provide next best actions, with the key integrations into the downstream activation systems used by our customers to accelerate their sales process'.
