Sports data tech company Genius Sports has acquired Spirable, which helps clients create and optimize personalized video content across social media, CRM, messenger and display channels. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
London-based Spirable uses live and contextual data and artificial intelligence to help clients produce personalised video campaigns, using data gathered on gender, geography, climate conditions and the personal tastes and traits of individuals. Using a single platform, Spirable enables advertisers to run this content across all digital media channels for sectors such as betting, for live odds display ads powered by data; brands and sponsors, capturing fan interest with in-game creative; rights holders, with personalized fan videos; and broadcast and OTT, with live data video overlays.
Genius says Spirable's platform is highly complementary to its own media and advertising products, expanding the company's ability to deliver relevant and personalized content to fans. The deal adds to its May acquisition of AI-powered sports data tracking and visualization solutions provider Second Spectrum.
Ger O'Meara (pictured), CEO and co-founder of Spirable, comments: 'Over the past six years, our talented team has helped change the way brands create, scale and optimize creative to reach their customers. Together with Genius Sports, we will work to offer more valuable real-time content that will increase fan interaction and retention'.
