Day One Hires Oncology Experts McDonald and McConnell

In the UK, healthcare MR firm Day One Strategy has appointed oncology specialists Jo McDonald, as a Partner, and Gemma McConnell as Research Director.

Day One Strategy was launched in 2019 by two former Hall & Partners execs, Global CEO of Health Abigail Stuart and Managing Partner, European Health Hannah Mann. The firm combines technology with expert input to better understand customers' wants, needs and behaviour.

McDonald joins after more than twenty years' pharma client-side and agency roles. She previously worked at Healthcare Research Worldwide (HRW), where she set up the firm's OR:BIT specialist oncology research division; before which she launched Lundy Consulting, and worked at GSK and The Planning Shop International. At Day One Strategy, McDonald will lead global expansion of the oncology and rare disease business. McConnell also joins from HRW, where she served as Research Director in the OR:BIT division. Earlier, she worked for Ipsos MORI as AD, Oncology Custom Research; and Decision Resources Group as Principal Business Insights Analyst (Oncology).
