Toronto, Canada-based Dig Insights has announced a partnership with volumetric forecasting expert Woxi, which it says will make its Upsiide innovation testing platform 'the most robust' of its kind 'globally'.
Dig, majority-owned since September 2022 by private equity firm Beringer Capital, has offices in Toronto, Chicago and London. The company taps the skills of more than 250 people including strategists, researchers and data scientists, for a client base including firms in CPG, QSR, retail, technology, financial services and telecoms.
Upsiide is an AI-assisted innovation insights platform, which includes a feature called Idea Split, comparing ideas against specific business metrics; and an incidence rate (IR) tool called Audience Marketplace. It already provider users with 'share-of-choice' data to help them understand source of volume, cannibalization and incrementality. Woxi's technology will take category sales data and build a regression model that factors in distribution and marketing spend, allowing client companies to model out the most profitable next steps in regards to product innovation.
