Decentralised data marketplace Datality has appointed Oscar Carlsson, formerly Chief Innovation Officer at Cint, as a Strategic Advisor.
Datality allows buyers and sellers of research data to trade via an online marketplace, allowing buyers to search by keyword, industry, demographics, location, methodology and other factors.
Carlsson brings more than twenty years of research and marketing tech experience from Cint, which he joined in 2000, rising to Global VP Product and then in 2017 taking the newly created position of Chief Innovation Officer, for which he relocated to San Francisco. While playing a lead role in the research marketplace's product development, technology and business operations, he helped the company through series A, B and C funding rounds, private equity exits and finally its IPO, as well as a number of mergers and acquisitions.
Founder and CEO Clint Taylor comments: 'The entire Datality team is excited and motivated by Oscar joining our mission. His track record of driving sustained innovation and growth will be critical in our evolving go-to-market strategies to bring our data marketplace to the world. Oscar's strategic insights and industry expertise will help us elevate research innovation via simplicity and accessibility of research data worldwide'.
Carlsson says the company is 'entering an exciting phase with an amazing momentum to build the industry's first data marketplace'.
