Former Vodafone Head of Legal Joins Kantar

Kantar has appointed former Vodafone exec Rebecca Symondson as General Counsel, leading the firm's global legal team, from 1st October. She will be based in London and report directly to CEO Chris Jansen.

Symondson (pictured) worked previously as Group Legal Director for Corporate, Commercial and Compliance at Vodafone Group Plc, leading an international team of 70 professionals responsible for the delivery of the comms giant's corporate, treasury, M&A, commercial, technology, outsourcing, procurement, roaming and compliance activities.

Earlier she worked in the City of London, spending eight years at legal firm Slaughter and May and then nine at Thomas Cook, in roles including Group General Counsel. She is an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute and a graduate of University College London.

In her new role she joins the Kantar Group Executive Team. Jansen comments: 'I am delighted to welcome Rebecca to Kantar, as she brings considerable experience that I know will have a very positive impact on our business. We're confident that Rebecca's leadership will be instrumental in not only improving our legal operations, but also achieving our strategic objectives and driving continued growth into the future'.
