Global software marketplace G2 has appointed Tim Sanders as VP of Research Insights, charged with leading a drive to capitalize on the opportunity presented by the firm's 'unmatched depth and breadth of data on the world of B2B software'.
G2 says its 'treasure trove' of data includes more than 2.5 million verified reviews, 90 million annual visitors researching on G2.com, and more than160,000 software products and services listed. Sanders' team will publish multimodal content, lead strategy days and present at conferences and forums around the world.
Sanders (pictured) joins from employment marketplace Upwork, where he was VP of Client Strategy, focused on driving a customer-centric approach to help businesses solve their talent gap problems, with an emphasis on digital transformation. This year he has also been appointed as Executive Fellow at the Digital Data Design Institute at Harvard, helping researchers to deliver executive insights that drive adoption of AI and data-centric business decisions.
Prior to Upwork he was Chief Solutions Officer and a leadership coach at Yahoo, founding and leading the veteran Internet firm's ValueLab group, and producing research on industries, digital advertising effectiveness, search-data-as-predictor, and online promotions. Earlier he was an early-stage member of Mark Cuban's broadcast.com. For the last twenty years he has also run his own research-based consultancy, Deeper Media.
Co-founder and CEO Godard Abel comments: 'I can't wait for Tim to take our data and insights to the next level, and I know he is equally excited for the opportunity G2 has in the market right now'.
