In Chandler, AZ, USA, research firm Ironwood Insights Group (IIG) has announced the return of David Johnson, as Director of Project Analytics.
Ironwood offers a full suite of data collection and insights capabilities, customizing a wide range of research solutions to meet individual client needs. They include research design, qual and quant data collection, data processing, analytics, reporting and dashboards / visualization.
Johnson spent ten years at Discovery Research Group as MR Analyst, Director of Analytics and then Director of Project Analytics, before leaving in November 2018 to join tech company partner network specialist bChannels - he remained here and at successor firm The Channel Company until May of this year. Discovery was sold to Ironwood in November 2019, hence the 'returner' tag.
His role at Discovery included managing the analysis of primary and social data, developing custom lexical dictionaries, and performing advanced text analytics.
Earlier this year, Ironwood announced the acquisition of Maryland-based qual provider The Research Group and its focus groups and recruiting division Observation Baltimore. The firm also said its growth strategy would hinge around diversifying services, technological innovation, and 'adding highly experienced team members with specialized expertise' - Johnson's appointment supports this.
