US agency MarketVision has appointed former Material/LRW researcher Brian Smith as Vice President in Client Development and Strategy.
Founded in 1983, full service provider MarketVision Research employs around 175 people across the USA and is headquartered in Cincinnati. The firm includes a growing Communities Practice, and promoted its leader Colleen Hennegan in April.
Harvard Economics graduate Smith (pictured) worked in industry as Lead Developer on a gas terminal pre-construction project before moving into the research sector in 2009 as a VP at LA firm Wilson Perkins Allen Opinion Research. In 2012 he moved to Lieberman Research Worldwide where he spent the next six years, latterly as VP General Manager. He left in late 2018 to join start-up consulting firm WeDo as a Partner, and rejoined Material (the new name for LRW) in 2021 as VP, Insights-Driven Strategy.
His new role will include developing new clients and growing existing clients.
