In London, brand and communications specialist The Nursery Research & Planning has a new Head of Quantitative Research. Alex Sowash joins from Kantar where she was Senior Client Partner for MEA Regional Clients.
Employee-owned and a certified B Corp, The Nursery offers a combination of qual and quant research with advanced data analytics. The firm was founded in 2001 and acquired insight firm Arkenford in 2018.
Sowash spent nearly five years at Kantar, in London, preceded by around four years in two spells at Nielsen NZ as a Senior Manager and AD. She has also worked for Bravo TV / NBC Universal in New Zealand, and for both the BBC World Service and Forcier Consulting during a two-year stint in the new country of South Sudan. She holds a BA and a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. Her work has spanned FMCG, media, retail, finance and government/NGOs, and included brand, innovation and shopper research as well as advanced analytics.
