US-based strategic insights firm CMB has appointed former Nielsen BASES and Gongos researcher Lisa McFarland as AVP, Activation.
Formerly known as Chadwick Martin Bailey and owned by corporate engagement solutions firm ITA Group since 2017, CMB is a custom market research and consulting company based in Boston, MA. A month ago the firm launched a range of tools called AI + HI Solutions, combining AI with the firm's longstanding research and insights consulting expertise.
McFarland (pictured) was a founder employee of Campbell Hausfeld - a firm that analysed consumer sales trends and product performance - where she worked on category management and demand forecasting before joining Ipsos ASI in 2003. At the latter, she worked for eighteen months as a Research Analyst studying advertising on the Procter & Gamble account. In 2005 she moved to Nielsen BASES where she spent more than seven years in project management and client consulting roles, again focused on Procter & Gamble. Since 2012 she has worked at Gongos - now part of Human8, where she was made a Partner in 2023, having served as a Senior Director of Gongos and then Vice President, Activation at Human8. She holds an MBA from Purdue University Daniels Schools of Business.
In her new role at CMB she will help to drive client success, generate revenue, and help clients apply insights within their organization.
