US-based Burke, Inc., known for its MR training as well as full service insights work, has appointed Kathy Sheehan - formerly of youth trends researcher Cassandra and a veteran of GfK - as Vice President, Senior Account Executive.

Burke was founded in 1931, is 100% employee-owned, and offers customer services in decision science, insights and innovation, while its Burke Institute subsidiary provides education for marketing research and consumer insights roles. The company acquired innovation and growth acceleration specialist Seed Strategy ten years ago.
Sheehan brings twenty-five years of experience in the sector, both qual and quant, with a focus on generational, cultural and human-centric insights in sectors including technology, FMCG, media and entertainment. She has spent the last five years at Cassandra, the young consumer trendsetting insights business originally within the ENGINE Group; and previously spent eighteen years at GfK, latterly as EVP and Global Director of trends practice GfK Consumer Life. Earlier she worked for two years as an AD at Ogilvy & Mather, and for five years as a Marketing Manager at The Columbia House Company, a Joint Venture of Sony & Time Warner.
