In the US, health and wellness marketing and tech solutions firm MERGE has appointed former Oracle exec Stephanie Trunzo as its new Chief Executive. The company promises clients the benefits of 'a deep, unique understanding of how consumers make decisions about their health and wellness journeys'.
The company employs around 750 people at locations in seven US cities. Trunzo (pictured), who became a member of MERGE's board last year, joins from software firm Oracle where she was SVP and General Manager, launched the Oracle Health global business unit and oversaw the acquisition of Cerner. She holds a degree in psychology and brings more than twenty years of leadership experience spanning technology, marketing, health and storytelling. Prior to Oracle she worked in executive roles at IBM, latterly helping to develop its Garage global network of collaboration hubs and earlier working in development and customer relations roles during a stay of a dozen years; and she was President and COO at tech solutions company PointSource, guiding it to a successful public acquisition.
MERGE board member Jim Weiss comments: 'A future where healthcare revolves around a transparent, secure ecosystem driven by data with the patient at its heart - that's where we're headed. Bringing Stephanie on board is a deliberate move by MERGE to creatively and innovatively tackle the evolving needs of clients'.
