More Funds for Beauty Market Intelligence Firm Daash

January 15 2025

In California Daash Intelligence, a predictive intelligence platform for beauty retail brands, has secured $5.5m in a second seed funding round, to be used in rapidly scaling its engineering and go-to-market teams, and to accelerate product development.

Philip SmolinDaash offers proprietary technology pulling in data from multiple sources to give beauty brands market and trends insights - this includes identifying which competitors are gaining or losing market share, and understanding the factors driving such trends. Services include weekly retailer-specific updates for color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, haircare, personal care and other brands, and are used by smaller and mid-size brands working on new product development, marketing and sales channel optimization, and customer targeting.

The new round brings total funding to date to $8.25m and was led by new investor Bullpen Capital, with participation from GFT Ventures as well as returning investors Silicon Road Ventures and Red Bike Capital.

'Beauty is a fiercely competitive retail category' says co-founder and CEO Philip Smolin (pictured), 'and beauty and personal care brands need affordable data insights that help them understand market trends as they are occurring, not weeks or months late. We're extremely pleased to partner with this prestigious group of investors to provide beauty brands with a powerful early indication of where their market opportunities lie, so they can act quickly to take advantage of emerging trends and maximize their sales'.
