Global insights industry non-profit organization Women In Research (WIRe) has promoted its current Marketing and Events Director Jessica Sage to Executive Director, and appointed Mandy Burkholder to replace her at Manager level. Former MD Michelle Andre moves to the role of Director of Development.
WIRe champions diversity in the marketing research industry, supporting events and educational programming worldwide to help women and 'other marginalized groups' advance their careers and voice in the industry.
Andre (pictured top) has served as WIRe's Managing Director for eight years, and takes the new Director of Development role to focus on expanding and fostering relationships with donors and key industry stakeholders. Sage (pictured middle) has served the organisation for seven years, significantly enhancing its global presence; establishing industry partnerships including one with MrWeb's job board; and expanding its programming. In her new role she will oversee the organization's strategic expansion and day-to-day operations.
Burkholder (pictured below) joins as Marketing and Events Manager, bringing extensive experience in non-profit communications and community building, including work for the Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance. Most recently she worked in Development Operations for Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Founder Kristin Luck says the changes 'signal an exciting new chapter for WIRe', and comments: 'Our team's collective strengths, and their dedication to WIRe's vision and mission, will ensure that we continue to lead the way in fostering diversity and inclusion in the marketing research sector'.
