From top to bottom: Michael Keating, Roisin Coleman, Tamsin MariesM.E.L helps clients to deliver better public services in a range of areas from health and wellbeing, housing and transport to waste, arts & culture, and community resilience.

Keating (pictured above) joined the firm last month after three and a half years at Thinks Insight & Strategy, where he rapidly rose from Research Assistant to Research Lead, gaining experience in mixed-methods research, and a focus on engaging seldom-heard and hard-to-reach audiences across a range of complex policy and regulatory topics. These included financial vulnerability, digital exclusion, housing, stakeholder engagement and environmental sustainability.

Coleman (pictured middle) worked at Morris Hargeaves McIntyre for eight years, split across two spells, before joining M.E.L in September 2025. Her first role at MHM was as Office Administrator, but after eighteen months she joined the research team and rose to RM by 2024. Her experience spans the arts, cultural, heritage and charitable sectors, and she has worked in-depth on audience insight and segmentation, evaluation frameworks, cultural programme evaluation and strategic planning, on both UK and international projects.

Maries (pictured below) joined the firm in September 2024, and had previously spent eight years in two spells at MMR Research worldwide, and worked at Ipsos, B2B tech market researcher Vanson Bourne, and more recently as a freelance researcher. Her promotion reflects her extensive experience in social and market research, particularly in research with children, young people and families, neurodivergent individuals, education, employee and resident research, and technology studies.

Steve Handley, Director of the Insights Team says the appointments reflect 'both the growth of our work and the depth of talent within the business,' and demonstrate the firm's 'continued commitment to delivering high-quality, impactful research and investing in our people.'
