FocusVision Adds 'Discussion Engine' to Revelation

April 17 2015

In the US, research and technology provider FocusVision has rolled out a new Discussion Engine for its Revelation qualitative mobile and web platform, which the firm says brings consumer experiences to life using the engagement of a social media app.

Steve AugustFocusVision acquired research tool developer Revelation Global last year, and has since integrated its solution for mobile diaries, bulletin boards and insight communities into the group's client offer. This offer includes video-streaming of live focus groups, webcam interviews (InterVu), mobile ethnography (HomeVu), cross-platform survey programing and software (Decipher), and the ResearchReporter project archiving and reporting platform.

The new Discussion Engine offers the ability to pin group probes and announcements, through which moderators can communicate with all participants, along with image posting capabilities to enable visual sharing activities among participants. In addition, the tool provides drill-down reporting, discussion tracking, and participation management features, as well as multiple language translation.

Chief Innovation Officer Steve August (pictured) comments: 'The development of this new engine is based on direct client feedback, and our own research and vision for the interactive qualitative space. The result is an experience that will deliver more depth and insights for our users.'
