Oslo-based fieldwork group Norstat has appointed Tue Meier-Poulsen as its MD in Denmark, replacing company 'legend' Jesper Platz who has decided to leave after nine years.
Norstat provides access to online panels across eighteen European countries, and other traditional data collection methods in some of them. Meier-Poulsen was previously Business Manager at Berlingske Media, responsible for subscription sales, CRM and Business Intelligence; having earlier served as its Marketing Manager amd Head of Marketing Operations, Prior to this, he was Group Account Director at Mediacom Denmark for six years. He holds an MBA from Henley Business School and a Master's degree from Copenhagen Business School.
In his new role, Meier-Poulsen is tasked with accelerating work to develop 'new digital opportunities in data collection'
Erling Eriksen, COO of Norstat, says the new arrival has 'a proven track record and great competencies that the entire Norstat group will benefit from', adding: 'Tue combines being a very friendly character with drive, energy and ambition and they naturally match the Norstat culture'.
Eriksen paid tribute to Platz who he said had become 'a true Norstat legend' making a 'huge contribution to the company during the last nine years' and moving it into a very good position in the Danish market.
