New York-based cross-device audience targeting specialist Dstillery has raised $5.9m in a funding round. The money will be used to invest in sales and marketing activity, extend the firm's portfolio of audience solutions, expand partnerships and enhance its team.Dstillery applies proprietary software including its flagship CrossWalk solution, to build targeted audiences based on multi-platform analysis of a brand's existing customers. Earlier this year, it launched a platform called the Audience Studio, to help agencies create, explore and activate custom audiences; and last year it introduced Dscover Maps (DMaps), a geospatial insights tool that provides a detailed view into market composition by geography / location.
The new funding has been led by NewSpring Capital, with participation from USVP, Venrock and Contour Venture Partners. Dstillery CEO Michael Beebe (pictured) comments: 'With more than eleven years of applying advanced machine learning and AI to activating audiences in programmatic campaigns, we've mastered the craft of building the industry's best performing audiences which provide the best combination of precision and scale. This investment will allow us to better capitalize on our lead and pull further ahead as we gain broader adoption for our suite of audience solutions among agencies and brands'.
