In New York, language and tech solutions provider TransPerfect has acquired a minority stake in market research sector language specialist G3 Translate. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
G3 Translate, which was co-founded in 2006 by Nancy Hernon (pictured) and fellow language industry exec John Labati, and also has teams in Europe and the US West Coast, provides a number of services for the MR industry including translation, interpretation and cultural consulting.
Hernon herself earlier spent five years in a management role with TransPerfect, and says of the deal: 'This collaboration will be a huge benefit to our clients who seek market research and insights. My team and I are elated and extremely eager to work closely with the TransPerfect team. It's immensely satisfying to be reunited with such an amazing group of people'.
