Media intelligence specialist Cision has announced that its social media management division Falcon.io has acquired Unmetric, which delivers insights from social media benchmarking, audience engagement and content performance. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Unmetric tracks and analyses the online behavior of 100,000 brands segmented across more than 30 sectors, for social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram. Brands use the platform to benchmark their social media presence and investment against competitors.
Falcon.io will integrate Unmetric into its social media marketing platform, and Unmetric's team will join Falcon. Lux Narayan (pictured), CEO of Unmetric, comments: 'Brands need to continually benchmark their social media campaigns, content and channels, and use insights from the past to fuel campaigns for the future. Unmetric brings this historical perspective to the Falcon.io platform to help brands and agencies create more compelling content.'
