In the US, cannabis industry big data firm New Frontier Data has launched an online cannabis data marketplace, to enable researchers, business owners and firms to download thousands of data sets through the company's Equio online platform.
Headquartered in Washington, DC and with offices in Denver, CO and London, New Frontier Data offers data, business intelligence and risk management solutions to inform cannabis-related policy and business decisions. Last month, the firm acquired lifestyle and engagement platform Civilized, which provides cannabis consumers, influencers and multinational brands with niche and mainstream content; and discovery and profiling platform Zefyr, which captures data from multiple sources to answer such questions as where ideal customers are located.
New Frontier's new Equio feature opens up the company's library of vetted cannabis industry data, providing access to both individual and bundled data sets ranging from cannabis consumer trends to global market figures and hemp-focused market data. Subscription levels include options for early entrants; researchers, analysts and attorneys who need to monetize their own research; and an enterprise level, providing multi-user access.
CEO and founder Giadha Aguirre de Carcer (pictured) comments: 'We have spent over five years building the only cannabis big data technology platform that is able to ingest, scrub, process and report millions of data points. Our industry reporting has now reached over 80 nations worldwide, and so the time has come to support others' research and reporting by leveraging what is ultimately our core competency: data reporting'.
