UK-based emotion analytics specialist Realeyes has appointed long-time marketing analytics and technology industry exec Max Kalehoff as Vice President of Marketing, based at its offices in New York.
From its offices in London, New York, Boston and Budapest, Realeyes uses webcams, computer vision and machine learning software to analyse how people feel as they watch video content online, and AI to analyse the word-for-word sentiment of viewers' custom survey responses. Last year, the firm launched a method using artificial intelligence to forecast how much attention an ad will attract before it is launched.
Kalehoff (pictured) began his career as a Senior Associate, Interactive Brand Equity Specialist, at WPP-owned PR and comms agency Burson-Marsteller. He then moved on to online MR firm Jupiter Media Metrix as Senior Manager, Marketing Communications; before joining Comscore, following the latter firm's acquisition of Jupiter. Later, he worked for Nielsen as VP, Marketing for Nielsen Online, after it acquired BuzzMetrics where he had served as its first VP of Marketing. More recently, Kalehoff has been a member of the founding management team at Clickable, which was acquired by social media data specialist Syncapse in 2012; and he was the first Chief Marketing Officer of digital media and analytics company SocialCode.
In his new role, Kalehoff will help lead the commercialization of several new computer vision and AI products that deliver emotion and attention measurements to improve customer experience within the video, streaming, gaming and mobile app industries. CEO and founder Mihkel Jäätma comments: 'Max has helped launch and scale some of the most influential brands in consumer insights and marketing analytics. His deep knowledge of digital media, consumer intelligence and product marketing will position us well for growth in exciting new markets'.
