Australia-based start-up Qualie has rolled out its video-driven survey platform in the UK market, through a partnership with consumer and sensory specialist MMR Research Worldwide.Founded in 2017 by Sydney-based MR industry execs Rob Marjenberg and Ainslie Williams, together with founding CTO Steve Ford, Qualie's software-as-a-service (SaaS) MR platform uses a proprietary set of ranking algorithms called 'Compelling Consensus' (ComCon) to curate video feedback on any question. ComCon combines video-based insights with quantitative data, and the firm says it is often used as a replacement for traditional focus groups. In August, the company closed a $1m seed round of funding, as it rolled out a beta version of its video insights platform.
Qualie.com is now available in the UK through MMR's Express suite, which also offers tools to help clients in the early stages of concept and claim development. Commenting on the Qualie.com platform, Marjenberg said: 'It's truly a hybrid qual-quant system, but we think of it as a survey platform with a qualitative soul. That's the background of the founders. We want to bring qualitative insight to all quantitative surveys clients do'.
