Kantar has hired Pete Rumpel as Chief Executive Officer of its Media Division in North America. He succeeds Manish Bhatia, who has moved into the position of Chief Product Officer for the division.Rumpel (pictured) joins after more than five years at tech specialist ABI Research, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer and Managing Partner. Prior to this, he held senior positions at business automation tech provider SciQuest (now known as Jaggaer), education company Rafter, language learning specialist Rosetta Stone, business software giant SAP; and tech research and advisory firm The Yankee Group Research/Gartner.

In his new role, Rumpel takes over from Bhatia, who joined Kantar three years ago from Comscore, where he served as Chief Product Officer. He will now oversee global product development efforts for Kantar's Media Division.
