Comscore has expanded its partnership with London-based movie theatre market analyst Gower Street Analytics (GSA), to include film comparisons in its own Box Office Essentials solutions.
Box Office Essentials and International Box Office Essentials measure movie viewing from more than 95% of the worldwide box office, and include weekend estimates and attendance numbers. Comscore partners with film distributors and exhibitors in 70 countries around the world to create the box office data solutions on which the industry transacts, measuring more than 30,000 theatres globally.
GSA has been a Comscore partner since 2015. Film comparisons are curated by the firm's team of data scientists and film analysts using data from Box Office Essentials; and GSA's proprietary methodology provides these film comparisons for releases at all scales, including limited release films. Comscore also partners with GSA on the latter firm's theatrical predictive analytics platform FORECAST, which provides film executives with box office predictive analytics.
