Comscore has received a US patent for: 'Protecting User Privacy During Collection of Demographics Census Data'.The firm says its continued investment in research and development has brought it 76 US patents over the last five years. According to the company, this commitment has also brought privacy-safe digital and TV product innovations to the market, as part of a roadmap for delivering measurement in a 'cookieless' environment.
The new patent is for an approach Comscore can use to continue providing measurement of online audiences, while at the same time respecting the privacy of those audiences. CEO Bill Livek (pictured) comments: 'Our new patent is another example of Comscore's commitment to protecting consumer privacy, and it is another demonstration of our leadership in the area of privacy-safe measurement'.
