London-based healthcare communications and consulting agency imc group has acquired medical communications and insights research agency Porterhouse Medical Group. Terms of the deal, backed by Waterland Private Equity, have not been disclosed.Founded in 2002, and with a team of 65 based in the UK and US, Porterhouse offers a range of medical communications, publication planning and insights services. The firm's internal research consultancy, Insights , uses behavioural science - from applying theoretical principles to exploring the human motivations that drive behavioural change - to generate insights across the product life cycle. It also offers the Behaviour Promoter Score, an evidence-based tool designed to measure the impact of educational interventions and / or communication programmes on the subsequent behaviour of participants.
