Ivins Takes CSO Role at TVSquared

September 22 2020

Edinburgh-based cross-platform measurement specialist TVSquared has former Comscore and Comcast exec appointed Bob Ivins as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

Bob IvinsTVSquared's analytics platform enables clients in more than 70 countries to quantify the impact of television slots, tie them to business outcomes, and optimize ad performance across TV 'everywhere'.

Much of Ivins' three decades in the sector have focused on data-driven advertising, and promoting transparency and collaboration throughout the TV ecosystem. Early in his career he worked at Nielsen for nine years and then at web measurement firm I/PRO and researcher Media Metrix, followed by three years as VP Research Director at Yahoo Europe. Between 2004 and 2008 he helped establish Comscore in Europe, and he returned briefly in 2015 after spells as VP Data Product at Comcast and Chief Data Officer at Mindshare. Most recently he was Chief Data Officer at New York ad tech firm Ampersand, leading the development of its advanced TV and media offerings.

In his new role, Ivins says he will focus on 'continuing to provide the buy- and sell-sides with the tools needed to measure TV in the way people consume it, across time, devices and platforms'.

Recently appointed company President Jo Kinsella comments: 'Bob is an industry veteran with experience and vision to help us continue to drive the industry forward. He is an excellent addition to the TVSquared team, and will be instrumental in supporting the adoption of authenticated audiences and simplified cross-platform measurement to our global client base'. CEO and founder Calum Smeaton adds: 'At a time when TVSquared is experiencing unprecedented growth, we are thrilled to have Bob - and his proven track record of driving transformation through measurement - to our executive team'.
