In the UK, food and drink sector research and support organisation Campden BRI has announced that current COO Pete Headridge will become Chief Executive on 1st January 2021, following the retirement of Chris Huscroft.Campden BRI has more than 2,500 member companies from 80 countries, including all the top ten UK retailers and the top fifteen global food and drink manufacturers. The organisation provides technical, legislative and scientific support and research to the food and drinks industry worldwide, and also conducts sensory and consumer studies, including for its specialist brewing and wine division.
Headridge (pictured) joined at the beginning of the year with more than 27 years' experience in the food industry, having previously served as VP of R&D, Quality, Nutrition (Health & Wellness) & Regulatory EMEA at the Kellogg Company, where he worked for more than two decades. Huscroft joined two years ago after a seventeen-year career with CSM Bakery Solutions, and earlier time at Unilever and P&G, and has served as CEO of Campden BRI since January, when former CEO Steven Walker left after 33 years with the business.
